Re: Driver for WS2812 RGB LEDs (NeoPixels, ...)
Hi all! I'd like to ask you about this library. I can see it's a little outdated, but it might still work for my needs: I have a VERY long strip of WS2813 LEDs (1100 of them) in my ceiling. Right now I'm using an Arduino Mega with the FastLed library to drive them, and while it works, it has a VERY ...

Re: LCD display [Advise needed]
that sounds correct. Man, I came back just to say THANK YOU one more time. http://i.imgur.com/wezdtI2.jpg It's exactly what I wanted! - Perfect readability on direct sunlight - Very cheap (less than U$D5!) - High availability - Great size - LED backlight - SPI compatible - WORKS WITH MICROPYTHON Th...

Re: LCD display [Advise needed]
Cool, I'll get that one then.
I think this is the perfect candidate for my project based on what I can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oj8yt8C-YSk

Re: LCD display [Advise needed]
One question: I see that there are a lot of versions of the ST7920 128x64 LCD display. Do all of them come with SPI mode available? For instance, this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Smart-Electronics-128-64-DOTS-LCD-module-5V-Yellow-and-green-screen-12864-LCD-with-backlight/32659656871.html I ...

Re: LCD display [Advise needed]
Wow! That's very good news!
I mean, it takes almost 7 seconds to draw a rectangle, but it woks haha.
It's a starting point. I'll buy one now and try to make it work.
mcauser, thanks again for taking the time for this!

Re: LCD display [Advise needed]
One of the LCD factories told me about these intelligent displays. The problem is mainly the price. They look like a very good idea and by far the easiest way to implement them in any project, but they are way mor expensive that the alternatives.

Re: LCD display [Advise needed]
The best could be displays like this one: http://www.lcd-module.com/eng/pdf/grafik/dogm128e.pdf That's right! I wrote them a few days ago. They have awesome displays and in a lot of sizes and shapes, but I discarded those because they told me that they don't have Python drivers for them. They are p...

Re: LCD display [Advise needed]
Hey! thanks for the elaborate answer :) I have made various tests with the displays I have around, and I've completely discarded OLED because when in direct sunlight it's like they are off. Almost completely black. I was thinking in something LCD based, like the Nokia 5110, which under the same test...
