Boot speed?

Post by scudderfish » Sun Oct 04, 2015 1:00 pm

I'm looking to embed something in my kitcar to act as an immobiliser, data logger etc. Wipy looks really good but I'd like to know how quickly it can start communicating with the outside world from a cold start? Seconds would be better than minutes :)

Regards,
Dave

Hi,

Between 5 to 7 seconds from a coldstart until you have an IP address.

Cheers,

That's considerably quicker than the raspi I was playing with :) Although I'll probably do something with the suspend modes as well. Now to buy one......
