SSD1606 E-ink Display Driver

Post by deshipu » Fri Jul 01, 2016 1:50 pm

There are those relatively cheap 172x72 E-ink display modules on Tindie and elsewhere, that are driven with SPI and don't need all this ridiculous additional high-voltage power, etc. I decided to try one, and of course wrote a driver for Micropython for it.

The code is at https://bitbucket.org/thesheep/micropyt ... ssd1606.py

Very nice! I've been looking around for a small-ish e-ink! Thanks for the driver :)

If you are interested in E-Ink displays, it's worth to have a look at the on provided by @pythoncoder https://github.com/peterhinch/micropython-epaper.git . Very elaborate and perfectly documented.
