Do you have a multimeter?

Yes I do but I am working with a ESP-12E development board and
I can't desolder the module VCC pin in order to meter current.

I'm asking, because the current consumption depends on many things: whether AP and station WiFi interfaces are active, what is being run from boot.py and main.py, potentially even details like the size of your flash chip or what pullups/pulldowns are installed on your board might affect it. So the best approach, I think, would be to measure your particular use case.
