Windows Driver

Post by milkybar_ton » Sun Jun 29, 2014 1:54 pm

So i had no luck with my Mac, time to drag out an even older laptop running Vista
Try to follow the instructions on the Tutorial and draw another blank.
Device mounted ok and managed to get the blue light on, next page 'The REPL prompt'

Ok, open up Device Manager and find my board

Pyboard Virtual Comm Port in FS Mode

Right click and Properties. I don't have an 'instal driver option' i have 3 tabs, General,Driver and Details. Under the Driver tab i can see a Driver Details option. Select and no drivers are yet installed. Select the Update Driver option and i see my pyboard there. unable to expand it and select the pybcdc.inf option. I can uninstal the driver which basically ejects the board. I can then reset and it mounts again. I can open the board and see the pybcdc file but when i open it with a test editor just see a load of 'Y's.

have i corupted something when i was trying to hook it upto my mac or is it something else. Replys appreciated
cheers for now
