What is maximum current allowed to power the pyBoard? I'm a bit scared to power it from my car usb charger which has 2A

You should be able to use your 2A power supply just fine.

Current ratings are the maximum that the supply will deliver. In your case, your 2A supply will power anything that needs upto 2A. The pyboard will draw less than 100 mA of that, leaving 1900 mA of capacity for the things you plug into the pyboard.
