Considering this was just FTP, Kickstarter advertised the WiPy with 256Kb of RAM, but it's still a good point. Many of the files I was trying to send were 4kb-30kb in size; I think the largest was about 100kb.dhylands wrote:we don't have 128K of free RAM

Re: 2MB flash on the wipy?
Thanks for the replies, everyone. I'm already speaking with the team about getting a refund, but I appreciate hearing thoughts from others. "There are always limitations associated with its use." -- I come from a background in embedded systems, so I'm well aware of that, but there was no mention tha...

Re: 2MB flash on the wipy?
Thanks. Is that documented somewhere? I don't recall seeing that as a constraint on Kickstarter or any of the updates, and backed the WiPy (5 of them) with the belief I'd have 2MB of Flash at my disposal. I understand that this is "micro" python, but having to constrain our code and 3rd party librar...

2MB flash on the wipy?
Hi folks, The wipy is advertised as having 2MB of flash on board. How much of that is usable for our applications and libraries? Reason I ask, I'm trying to FTP about 320kb worth of libraries (falcon) to my wipy and it keeps getting hung up on transferring all files like it's running out of space. I...

Re: wipy environment
(apologies for the double post, I was waiting for moderation) Hi @cliechti, I can't leave you a PM here, but I've submitted an untested pull request on github to see if you'd be open to trying this out for us and possibly adding it to your code base. I don't have my wipy operational yet, so I have t...

Re: wipy environment
This is a great start, thanks for sharing the code. I'm going to need to fork the code and adapt it since I won't have an expansion board connecting to all of my units. :) I just got my WiPy units last week and am just starting to dig into how to set them up etc., and I have much to learn, but ideal...
