Here's another excellent candidate. A little pricey but convenient...

Re: STM32 F4 Discovery ...

With the new year, comes a little bump in my hobby budget. I thought I would use this to investigate the various "click boards" and uPython...

nRF52832 as potential target?

Me, I'm wondering with it's large flash, and RAM memory space if anyone is porting uPython to: The nRF52832 ? https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13990?_ga=1.2404089.81011026.1478793088 I just picked this up Black Friday, and I know the MicroBit port runs a very similar chip, just not quite the resour...

Re: STM32 F4 Discovery ...

OK, I guess this gray hair is good for something. Suspecting a hw issue, I unplugged the bottom usb cable from the hub in the front of my PC, ponderously walked around my desk cable in hand, and plugged into the lone free USB port on my somewhat obsolescent mother board. Wham! The PYBFLASH hard driv...

Re: STM32 F4 Discovery ...

I'm working on a native linux machine, Ubuntu 15.04. Just a spare machine, from several years ago, numerous issues, but good enough for most tasks, and until I get time to rebuild my serious machine. I wasn't nearly clear about that at the onset of describing my problem, sorry for the confusion. And...

Re: STM32 F4 Discovery ...

I did take a moment, and dropped into my MicroPython stmhal directory, to just play ball with the normal way of doing things... they don't call me "wrong-way Randy" for nothing! (I did have confidence in my Linux ARM tool-chain, and st-link set-up as I had used it successfully before on another proj...

Re: STM32 F4 Discovery ...

Gee, I'm sorry. Thanks so much for the detailed posting. In point of fact I was using ST-link on Windows 7, via STM32 GUI windows facility. It runs great on the VirtualBox VM, as do all the normal windows programs I run. I can understand that you assumed I was using the command line st-link tool fro...
