@deshipu: where is your reference? Where can I look to be "indipendent"?
I've tried your code with Pin(0)=SCL and Pin(1)=SDA but the REPL hangs on FW: esp8266-20170108-v1.8.7 and AI-THINKER Node-MCU board.
What could it be?
