Re: Redirecting terminal/WebRepl to OLED 1306

Thank you! I tested your new repo, verified that it fixed the issue. Tried many things to find issues, but found none ;-) I terminated my repo pointing to your new dedicated FBConsole repo: https://github.com/Hermann-SW/micropython-raspberrypi#fork-mission-statement And I added your FBConsole to Mic...

Re: webrepl...

OK, here it is. In order to use mp.js, you need to install npm on your system, and then Node.js WebSocket library "ws": https://www.npmjs.com/package/ws You find complete mp.js script here: https://gist.github.com/Hermann-SW/fbedf1c6c4d9781ab7c897756bead886 It consists of two parts. First part just ...

Re: webrepl...

This is just a headsup, I am nearly done with nodejs script mp.js running a command on remote MicroPython (like mp.py). That should allow to send remote MicroPython commands on any OS with installed nodejs. And mp.js is really small: $ wc --lines mp.js 27 mp.js $ $ ./mp.js mp.js pwd host cmd [...] $...

Re: webrepl...

From what I heard MacOS has a unix like shell, should be doable there as well. I am using Linux only since 2007, Raspbian since some years. There is only one program I have to run under virtual Win7 and one under virtual Win10 at IBM, everything else I do under Linux at work. Even Microsoft has real...

Re: module documentation (ssd1306)

I don't know if there exists documentation, I was able to find what I needed using Google search. I switched to using the official ssd1306 driver, just do "import ssd1306" and its there on ESP32 MicroPython. Here is source: https://github.com/micropython/micropython/blob/master/drivers/display/ssd13...

Re: webrepl...

I agree that executing a single command finally should be possible with official tool webrepl_cli.py. But that is wishful thinking: $ ~/webrepl/webrepl_cli.py -p abcd 192.168.4.1 "import machine" One remote file is required $ webrepl_cli.py enforces presence of ":" in 1st or 2nd argument and then do...

Re: Micropython does not restart with Ctrl/D

I have seen similar CTRL-D issue with Wemos D1 ESP8266 board today, with same 1.9.4 5/11/2018 version.
After flashing the 1.9.4 7/18/2018 version the issue was gone:

I just flashed Wemos D1 minis without specifying the flash size, and verify as well as serial console REPL w...

so many ESP8266 now MicroPython modules

I once tried to use MicroPython on 512KB flash ESP-01 modules, but that was no fun. I have bought and used four 1MB flash ESP-01s modules and I really like them, especially with MicroPython. I also use MicroPython on two ESP32 boards with OLED. Today I had a look on other microcontrollers I have. Th...

Re: webrepl...

If you want to have PC-scriptable solution, look at the work of @HerrmannSW In case you want an interactive command line remote shell to MicroPython, you can use WebREPL shell: https://github.com/Hermann-SW/webrepl#webrepl-shell As it sounds you are more interested in sending single commands to rem...
