Re: Continous time check

You can use ntptime to set current time:
viewtopic.php?t=5572&start=10#p32252

Add the statements to boot.py or main.py, and you will have current time even after reset.

Re: WebREPL Parameters

You can easily change WebREPL password by "import webrepl_setup" (enable, and say yes to change the password).

Re: Frequency measurement using ESP32

According documentation the first call is likely to be not accurate: https://docs.micropython.org/en/latest/library/machine.html ... If the pin is already equal to pulse_level then timing starts straight away. ... I did a 50% duty 500Hz PWM sigbnal on pin 12 as in example: https://docs.micropython.o...

Re: Send data via websocket from ESP32 to server?

I had to remove the "import logging" and all corresponding call in protocol.py and client.py since the module is not available. But then it works just fine! You don't have to do that, I took logging.py from micropython-lib github repo and all was fine: https://github.com/micropython/micropython-lib...

Re: PEP 3107 - Function Annotations

That "micropython" is the executable built in Micropython Unix port:
https://github.com/micropython/micropyt ... ports/unix

Code: Select all

$ ./micropython -v
MicroPython v1.9.4-683-gd94aa57 on 2018-11-13; linux version
Use Ctrl-D to exit, Ctrl-E for paste mode

Re: Send data via websocket from ESP32 to server?

The builtin websocket module is completely undocumented and therefore useless.

I used Danni's MicroPython uwebsocket module without problems, see thread Minimal MicroPython uwebsockets.client that works on esp8266.

Re: Redirecting terminal/WebRepl to OLED 1306

Thank you! I tested your new repo, verified that it fixed the issue. Tried many things to find issues, but found none ;-) I terminated my repo pointing to your new dedicated FBConsole repo: https://github.com/Hermann-SW/micropython-raspberrypi#fork-mission-statement And I added your FBConsole to Mic...

Re: webrepl...

OK, here it is. In order to use mp.js, you need to install npm on your system, and then Node.js WebSocket library "ws": https://www.npmjs.com/package/ws You find complete mp.js script here: https://gist.github.com/Hermann-SW/fbedf1c6c4d9781ab7c897756bead886 It consists of two parts. First part just ...

Re: webrepl...

This is just a headsup, I am nearly done with nodejs script mp.js running a command on remote MicroPython (like mp.py). That should allow to send remote MicroPython commands on any OS with installed nodejs. And mp.js is really small: $ wc --lines mp.js 27 mp.js $ $ ./mp.js mp.js pwd host cmd [...] $...

Re: webrepl...

From what I heard MacOS has a unix like shell, should be doable there as well. I am using Linux only since 2007, Raspbian since some years. There is only one program I have to run under virtual Win7 and one under virtual Win10 at IBM, everything else I do under Linux at work. Even Microsoft has real...
