Re: new port pull request

You can send PRs of course, but you're not the "maintainer". Hm, I see. I imagined this would be a lot simpler. And even better if in the future a port doesn't need to be a full micropython fork My Port is contained in its folder. (Besides the toolchain) Someone could download micropython, then my ...

Re: [TM4C123] REPL debugging info

So the first thing I would look at is whether your bss is being cleared.
Yes this was the problem.
It was locked behind a #ifdef and the define was accidentally removed somehow.

Thank you, I would've never looked there.

Re: new port pull request

Thanks for your response! Yes it is unrelated to the MSP432. I cannot say if the chip is popular, I saw only one forum post asking for it. I'm doing this port as a project for my masters and because our laboratory gets free TivaBoards every year, its used a lot in other projects. I would still maint...

new port pull request

Hey,
I forked the repo a while ago for a port to the TivaLaunchpad.
I got some things to work so far.
At what point can I consider creating a pull request into the main repo?

Thanks!

Re: [TM4C123] REPL debugging info

yes, on every statement, I searched for every occurence of the variable repl_display_debugging_info , but none of them seemed to be suspicious. i based my port mostly on the pyboard, so it "should" be roughly the same. (read: I copied a lot and didn't change it if it worked) link to repo: https://gi...

Makefile question

Hey, I have a problem with the "DEBUG" variable in my makefile. It is set to 1 in the first line of my makefile and when i print it in my target it shows as "1", but the conditional for the compiler flags sees "0". If I call make DEBUG=1 it works as expected again. Does anyone know why this happens?...

I seem to remember some LTO related issues with the GC, because it makes it hard to track root pointers. This may be fixed though. You should search the github PR and Issue history for LTO
If this would be the case, it should throw in an "out of memory" error eventually, right?
