Attached is mashed-together image where I overlaid a pyboard D (both sides semi transparent) onto a 50mil grid to help me better visualise where the WBUS connectors are relative to other things on the board. Just a thought: did you include a line:

enable the PYBD 3.3V rail for the transceiver to work? I don't see such a line in your code. See discussion here:

I couldn't find any information in the docs. I ordered these DF40 series Hirose connectors and they fit my pyboard - 40pin male plug that is on the pyboard: https://www.digikey.com/products/en?keywords=h11624ct - 40pin female socket that is on the WBUS DIP68 breakout: https://www.digikey.com/produc...

I am building a pyboard-D based device which will have ample access to mains-derived power which will almost certainly have to be delivered either as: 5V to VUSB, or 3.3V to VIN, or something else if none of those above are thought to be a good idea for my application in the long term.
