Re: USB problem on STM32F411CEU6

I am using the board specs from https://github.com/mcauser/WEACT_F411CEU6 which say that the board is configured to run at 96 MHz.

Having a look at the issues chapter on this repository it seems that I am not the only one having the problem.

Re: problems with as_GPS

Yes, that was my first reaction as well. Particularly because I use one of those super-cheap Chinese modules. However I also tried this: I simply read the NMEA sentences coming from the GPS receiver and print them out. Then I cut and paste ~ 400 of these messages into a file on the PC and I run them...

Re: problems with as_GPS

Things work quite ok now but... There is one things that intrigues me: I get plenty of crc errors. crcErrors.png First I thought that this must be a hardware problem but when I run just the uart, printing out all the messages I see and putting them to the parser when reading back the file, then my c...

problems with as_GPS

Hi Pete, Now that the display is working I am on your as_GPS driver. I am using a Neo Max6 GPS module on an ESP32. I cloned your micropython-asyncio repository and I tried astests.py in v3/as_drivers/as_GPS. It gives me a ImportError: attempted relative import with no known parent package error. ast...

USB problem on STM32F411CEU6

Hi, Today I flashed MicroPython on my STM32F411CEU6 board. I tried dfu mode but did not see any dfu device using dfu-util. I managed to flash it with stlink. When connecting it with an USB to serial adapter on PA9, PA10 everything works fine. However, I cannot use the USB type C connector to talk to...

The results

Hi Peter I promised to send you a link of my results. Here it is: https://github.com/uraich/IoT-Course/wiki/1.4%22-TFT-display-and-the-ST7735-display-controller In fact this work is part of a bigger project where I try to set up a course on IoT for the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Without your h...

Re: include a font file into the file system

Hi Pete, Understood! As I told you I am trying to port a driver originally developed for the SDD1351 to the ST7735. The original driver was not sub-classed from framebuf but wrote to the hardware directly. I kept the original calling sequences but added methods with the same functionality passing th...

Re: include a font file into the file system

Another problem with the framebuffer:
The color data are stored in little-endian mode in the framebuffer while the display controller expects them in big endian.
How can I efficiently do the conversion or is there a possibility to tell the framebuffer to store the color data in big endian mode?

Re: include a font file into the file system

Sorry Peter, my fault!
When converting fonts extracted from https://github.com/boochow/MicroPython-ST7735, which are also Python files but with a different font format I made an error. The hmap flag was wrongly set.

font writer

Hi Peter, My goal was to port the driver I found for the ssd1351 (https://github.com/rdagger/micropython-ssd1351) to the st7735. rdagger uses a fonts in C files, which he reads in before writing text. When using many fonts, this takes ages. I therefore followed your advice and I converted these font...
