Re: asyncio.run on unix port

Hi jimmo
You are perfectly right. In fact uasyncio is not included in the standard unix micropython at all and my micropython found it in $HOME/.micropython, which was from the micropython-lib. The dev variant includes uasyncio and it include V3 of it.

Re: asyncio.run on unix port

Hi Pete,
Your answer pointed me into the right direction: The standard version of unix micropython uses uasyncio V2 (I think this should be changed!). If I build the "dev" version, I get V3.

Re: asyncio.run on unix port

Thanks Pete, That's weird! I built the Unix version and the ESP32 from the same MicroPython sources. The ESP32 version works, the Unix version seems to use uasyncio V2. Just to be sure I cloned MicroPython from github just now and rebuilt the Unix version. Do I have to give an option to make to get ...

asyncio.run on unix port

When trying to use asyncio.run on the unix port I get the error
AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'run'
When running the same thing on the esp32 everything works as expected. I have attached the very simple demo program on which I can check this. Any idea why this is the case?

Re: TTGO T-WATCH-2020

I don't know what you want to use MQTT for but the umqtt module in micropython-lib does the job. Here is a small example I wrote as a demo for a presentation on IoT. The connect() function from the module wifi_connect just connects to my WiFi network. I started mosquitto on my Linux PC as well as th...

Re: TTGO T-WATCH-2020

Got the lvgl wasp code up and running. I wrote a simply shell script using ampy to upload all the wasp python code to the watch. However, this takes a loooooong time! Since the micropython fork has uftpd included I will try to write a script that uploads everything using ftp. After that I will have ...

Re: TTGO T-WATCH-2020

Thanks, I will try to make it work on my watch and see if I understand the code. I am interested to help in the development and in documentation. We should have a single master repository though.

Re: TTGO T-WATCH-2020

Extremely helpful! Many thanks. I just tried it and had no problem to get it to work.
Can you also give us access to your wasp-os work?

Re: TTGO T-WATCH-2020

Well, I am still in the state of "struggling"! I have the same version of micropython and I managed to compile it. I also tried to put the t-watch board specific files into https://github.com/lvgl/lv_micropython, which is under continued development. This also works. So, I am very curious to see you...

Re: TTGO T-WATCH-2020

Angainor, did you use the st7789 driver included in the micropython branch for TWatch2020 or did you use the driver included in husky's wasp-os fork? I still have not understood how to build a simplistic lvgl app on the TWatch2020 using the micropython port for the t-watch. The examples I saw were w...
