Re: ESP32-CAM not taking firmware file (lemariva)

Solution is to unjumper gpio0 and ground after flashing it. Facepalm moment for sure.

Re: ESP32-targeted alternative to Ampy

Update on the project: uPyFile is pretty much finished. It can read files from the device, list directories, and push/pull files to and from the device and computer. I have tested it on a HUZZAH32 and an ESP32-CAM. It is definitely ready for use.

ESP32-CAM not taking firmware file (lemariva)

I have three ESP32-CAM devices that I am trying to get set up. The first one has been set up using a fork of uPython at https://github.com/lemariva/micropython-camera-driver written by lemariva that allows access to the onboard camera. As of now, I have the first one running, but the second one refu...

Re: ESP32-targeted alternative to Ampy

To everyone who commented here, I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I apparently have notifications turned off. I looked through those tools just now and I really like some of them. I am, however, going to continue working on uPyFile, if only to complete it. I will definitely spend more ti...

Re: ESP32-targeted alternative to Ampy

I have changed the way I read from the serial port this time. At this point, I can read the boot-up data spit out by the ESP32 and I can see the REPL prompt. Issueing a command has been successful. import serial serialPort = serial.Serial( port = "COM3", baudrate = 115200, bytesize = 8, timeout = 2,...

ESP32-targeted alternative to Ampy

I want to make a command-line tool to share files between my PC and my HUZZAH32. I found Adafruit's Ampy tool, which sometimes works, but most of the time doesn't. In order to change anything, I have to stop the device from PuTTy, then write an empty file into boot.py using the REPL, then modify oth...

Re: [stm32f4xx] Custom Hardware?

Alright, I need to prioritize. First step is getting the keyboard sorted out. Then I will need to get the hardware set up. Than, once everything works, maybe I can do graphics.

Re: [stm32f4xx] Custom Hardware?

Okay, then. I was thinking the secondary MCU would handle the graphics as well. If the STM will do that, then by all means I'll go that route. Would it be possible to have a physical switch to flip between graphics mode and console mode? The idea is that a custom pygame-style graphics library could ...

[stm32f4xx] Custom Hardware?

I want to develop a portable uPython interpreter. I want to be able to use unmodified firmware from the PyBoard with maybe a few additions to the libraries. Here is what I want: -WiFi/BLE -external Flash -maybe an sd card -a secondary mcu to switch between a PC serial terminal or an onscreen LCD ter...
