Pin mode as variable

I would like to initialize Pin with values from config. Pin(id, pinMode) pinMode comes as string from json file so it will be one of IN, OUT, OPEN_DRAIN, etc. How can I get actual mode value from Pin? I tried to access it as Pin[pinMode] but I'm getting error TypeError: 'type' object isn't subscript...

Now i'm using F4 with 81 I/O but later I will use STM32F767 with 168 I/O.
It's gonna be build on custom pcb so using Pyboard D or other modules is not an option.
