Re: LCD 1602 - Library

There are two versions of this device - the difference is the controller IC. If you have the PCF8574T. the default I2C bus address is 0x27. If you have the PCF8574AT the default I2C bus address is 0x3F. An i2c.scan() should reveal which address to use

Re: LCD 1602 - Library

Did you add pull ups on the SDA and SCL lines? I2C requires them. Pins D3 (GPIO0) and D4 (GPIO2) have onboard 10k pull ups for setting the boot mode. If you don’t want to add extra hardware and don’t mind D4 led blinking, use the two pins for I2C instead of D1 (GPIO5) and D2 (GPIO4). I use D4 for cl...

Re: Mirabella Genio ESP8266 RGB light bulb

They have a few different versions and come in bayonet (B22) and screw (E27). * RGB + Warm White * Warm White + Cool White * Warm White * Cool White There is also a wifi smart plug in their Genio range, which I'm sure also is powered by an ESP8266. Heh... looks identical to the Brilliant one from Bu...

Re: Black STM32F407VET6 + STM32F407ZET6 dev boards

Order it. You will definitely be able to run MicroPython on it. I asked a few of the AliExpress vendors if they could send me a link to the datasheet. Waiting on their response. Also grab one of these $2 ST Link V2 clones for flashing, if you don't already have one. Lets you flash MicroPython on the...

Re: Black STM32F407VET6 + STM32F407ZET6 dev boards

@lukesky333 I put together these ones for the board: https://github.com/mcauser/MCUDEV_DEVEBOX_F407VGT6 - 1Mbyte flash https://github.com/mcauser/MCUDEV_DEVEBOX_F407VET6 - 512Kbyte flash Both are 100 pin LQFP chips and it looks like larger flash is the main difference. I guessed some of the pin numb...

Re: I made a variant of pyb that looks like an arduino, pyb+w5500

Taobao offers consolidated shipping, but with the site only in Chinese, placing orders using Google translate is very cumbersome. Many Taobao vendors offer free local shipping, so you only have to pay the agents warehouse + shipping fees. Otherwise, you're paying double shipping and waiting up to 30...
