Re: Removing the compiler from micropython

Hi, I was one of the Kickstarter backers, and I've been keeping my eye on this project for some time. I have a question about the micropython backend, but first let me explain the context. I'm in need of a "scripting" language for debugging and testing embedded devices during the development phase....

Re: why ESP8266 GPIO9 not support OUT low level?

Pin 9 is used by the onboard flash memory. Available pins are 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16. See http://docs.micropython.org/en/latest/esp8266/esp8266/quickref.html Note that pin 16 seems to work only as an output. GPIO9/GPIO10 is add since ESP-12E modual, and GPIO10 is works in micropython.

why ESP8266 GPIO9 not support OUT low level?

When I using GPIO09 in ESP-12F module, it is works fine in INPUT mode. But when I set it to Pin.OUT or Pin.OPEN_DRAIN and set output level to 0, it will lossing response. Only hardware reset may get right.

from machine import Pin
mc = Pin(9, Pin.OUT)

or

mc = Pin(9, Pin.OPEN_DRAIN)
mc(0)

Re: Suggest using PB8/PB9 pin as I2C1 in Nucleo-F401RE

THat's correct. There are only 2 people who have write permissions to the micrpython repository (and I'm not one). The workflow for doing pull requests is described here: https://help.github.com/articles/using-pull-requests/ - make a fork (on github.com) - add your fork as a remote to your local re...

Re: Suggest using PB8/PB9 pin as I2C1 in Nucleo-F401RE

That seems reasonable to me. I'd recommend changing the NUCLEO_F411RE board as well. Are you comfortable doing a pull request? If not, I can go ahead and put one together. It seem that need permission to pull request. I try to pull request, but get error message below. git -c diff.mnemonicprefix=fa...
