Re: Connect ESP2866 with the FeatherWing OLED

.mpy files are built for a specific version of MicroPython (or CircuitPython). So you'll need to use the exact version of CircuitPython that that .mpy file was built for. Or you'll need to find a version of the mpy file that matches your version of CircuitPython. Probably the second is easier -- can...

Re: UART issues

hi,

If you grep the codebase for where (for example) MICROPY_HW_UART6_TX gets used and you'll see the code that actually uses these macros.

What baud rate are you setting it to when you get that error?

Re: Building firmware without SSL

That's surprising - MICROPY_PY_USSL should be enabled in ports/stm32/boards/STM32F7DISC

The Nucleo F401RE doesn't have ethernet or wifi so it isn't enabled there.

Re: lib for ICM20689 motionsensor for esp32

I cannot do this in one read intruction? (i mean reading two bytes at once?) do you have some code example how to do this? I think you probably can, but what I was saying is that the datasheet was ambiguous -- it only explicitly said this would work for _writing_. But if it is necessary, you would ...

Re: C libraries for stuff

Thanks for sending the PR, looks like a great improvement. Just a note, the maintainers tend to prefer unrelated changes to be broken up into separate PRs (or at best separate commits). So the Makefile and README changes should probably be moved. Also support for the v4.0 IDF was just added yesterda...

Re: Micropython on ESP32

Any opinions on ESP32 for running Micropython? I know it is not as developed/mature as ESP8266, but I need the extra RAM. I am hoping that general WIFI and simple GPIO is in fact working fine with current builds, since that's all I really need. These days the ESP32 is probably at a similar level of...

However my configuration and run is slightly different than the code you've shared.
I wrote that off the top of my head on my phone so it's possible that it's wrong? Can you post a corrected version, if that might be useful to other people reading this thread.

Re: lib for ICM20689 motionsensor for esp32

It's worth adding constants to your code for the register numbers to make it easier to read. _REG_WHOAMI = const(0x75) _REG_INTERRUPT_STATUS = const(0x3a) _REG_TEMP_HIGH = const(0x41) _REG_TEMP_LOW = const(0x42) From the datasheet, it's plausible that on power-up the interrupt status register could ...

Re: Cannot set STA config after wakeup

Does the ESP8266 somehow remeber the wireless configuration from previous project and load it up after wakeup by timer? Yes, this is unique to the ESP8266 though. I believe it even does this after full power off. The other ports don't do this. while not wifi.isconnected(): wifi.connect("<my SSID>",...

Re: Ever expanding heap

Hi, Could you post as much code as you can, or especially just the bit you changed. I'm intrigued that it said it was allocated 8192 bytes which seems like quite a lot? If you paste the code in, select it, then press the "< / >" button it'll add the formatting. Or you can do it manually with " [ cod...
