Re: Dump data to Mac fileshare or to Google drive?

Hi, I think you might find this easier to start with some sort of simple gateway server that then puts the data where you need it. Whether that server runs on your Mac at home or in the cloud is up to you. e.g. the simplest option might be a simple python server that you send values to (using ureque...

Re: How to switch on a electric bulb with ESP8266 board?

Does it work if you try it from the REPL? Try and just get the LED working on its own.

Code: Select all

>>> pin=machine.Pin(14,machine.Pin.OUT)
>>> pin.on()
>>> pin.off()

Re: IR encoder pyboard V1,1

I am pretty sure the encoder you have in a single pulse encoder as you can see it only has I sensor that the disk rotates in. I think you're probably right. It is possible though there are two IR sensors spaced a little bit apart which would give you quadrature. (And would explain why there's two o...

Re: Newbie Wifi Skin Question (Pyboard lite)

How did this pyboard wifi skin work for you? I have not used this skin, but it's functionally equivalent to connecting any ESP8266 module to a pyboard, which I have done. Can you program a pyboard over wifi using one of these? If by "program" you mean "change the python code on the pyboard (e.g. up...

Re: IR encoder pyboard V1,1

Hi, So there are two parts to this: - Understanding the signals from the encoder. The general idea here is that every time the disk occludes the encoder, you can see the pin value change. There are two pins so that you can figure out which direction the disk is turning. - Figuring out how you want t...

Yes, the other device normally plugs into a PC or Android device via OTG and from what I understand from the manufacturer, their drivers require libusb.
OK, cool. Hope what I said makes sense then, let me know if you have any questions.

Re: differential pressure measuring in liquid flows?

from what i look the first link you post is interesting, so, why not for science application ? Oh just because with voltage dividers and analog digital converters etc you're subject to a lot of factors affecting both your accuracy and precision. For example, the 0-5V to 0.3.3V conversion (i.e don't...

Re: Different PWM Frequency

Hi, Unfortunately it doesn't look like it -- the way it's implemented [1], the frequency is shared by all pins (channels). I'm fairly sure this is a limitation of the ESP8266 hardware. From the reference doc [2] "PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) can be implemented on Frame Rate Control 1 (FRC1) via soft...

Re: differential pressure measuring in liquid flows?

Hi, So you'd like to be able to measure the liquid pressure at multiple different places in a system? Often when I'm not sure where to begin on how to measure a physical thing, I do vague searches on the hobby/educational electronics shops looking for breakout boards and kits that do a similar purpo...

This is the motor controller board; https://www.lelong.com.my/arduino-l298n-dual-h-bridge-drive-controller-board-module-myxenix-205248607-2019-06-Sale-P.htm Great, yep that answers my question. Nothing extra to do. Thanks for the instructions Jimmo, the motor is turning! Excellent, and speed contro...
