Re: MicroPython on ESP32 with SPIRAM support

I am also planning on my robots that have the room to use a 2.4" ili9341 screen with touch as a GUI, something like a basic menu-system that the user can use the touch to select up/down/select/back icons(be able to do basic things like log the robot on to there wifi router). I have already had my il...

Re: MicroPython on ESP32 with SPIRAM support

I have had a bit of a play with the 1.8" ST7735 display. There is a 0 resistor as a jumper to set if the LED is permit shorted to the 3.3v trace so this means that I can power the screen from the LED pin and not use the Vcc pin to cut out the LDO regulator. see pic st7735.jpg I couldn't get to to wo...

Re: MicroPython on ESP32 with SPIRAM support

Thanks for your help.

The little board that I have has a voltage reg on the back and I am connecting VCC to 3.3v so this might be the problem as the 3.3v supply will be below the drop out voltage.

Re: MicroPython on ESP32 with SPIRAM support

Ok this question is related to this thread. I have brought a couple of 1.44" st7735 screens see https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-44-Colorful-SPI-TFT-LCD-Display-ST7735-128X128-Replace-Nokia-5110-3310-LCD-/192212322440 as I want to use it as a info display screen for my snake robot that I am porting across...

Re: MicroPython on ESP32 with SPIRAM support

I apologize for the off topic questions this thread. My very first ever post to this forum was to start a new thread and the reply I got was to not start a new thread but rather find a related thread to post too. I joined the forum because I know little and need to learn answers to the what I don't ...

Re: MicroPython on ESP32 with SPIRAM support

Thanks for your help Laboris. Please be patient with me as I am a noob. I only first starting to learn to program to help my son with his Lego mind storm(icon based language) a little over a year ago and discovered Python shortly after, I have only just started with hardware few months ago and all m...

Re: MicroPython on ESP32 with SPIRAM support

Thanks ttmetro.

Yes especially since it only requires 2 resistors to make a voltage divider and problem solved.

I think that I will use a 10k and 5.6k as this will allow for measuring 2S battery on db11 and 1S battery on db 6 :)

Re: MicroPython on ESP32 with SPIRAM support

I want to get my battery monitor circuit working now. My robot that don't use DC motors and only use the micro servos just run on a 3.7v LiPo battery. These batteries when fully charged r 4.2v but don't liked to be discharged too much below 3v. So my range is 3v to 4.2 but not being able to detect a...

Re: Micropython command for ESP32 descriptions

There isn't really any docs for the ESP32 port and it is suggested tpo use the docs from the ESP8266 port. Laboris has written docs for any features he has added above the normal port in his wiki for his port of MP for ESP32
