Re: MicroPython on ESP32 with SPIRAM support

if I measure voltage across IO12 and GND I get 2.5v and If I measure resistance between IO12 and 3.3v I get 10.02 Kohms.

So correct resistance with the schematics https://github.com/AnalogLamb/esp32/blo ... eakout.pdf

But higher volatage than 1.8v

Re: MicroPython on ESP32 with SPIRAM support

on the schematic for the Lamb breakout it has io12 pulled to high not io2.

I tried manually jump both IO2 and IO12 to high and same result

Re: MicroPython on ESP32 with SPIRAM support

@roberthh I will try that now I disconnected everything then reconnected and it got futher. My usb to serial is a cp210 but I do also have a ch340 around here somewhere too and I might try it as well. This is the output I just got now --------------------- MicroPython for ESP32 ---------------------...

Re: MicroPython on ESP32 with SPIRAM support

Since my LoLin32 pro failed I have tried to build my own board using a wrover module and a Lamb breakout board. Since my usb to serial convert doesn't have the RTS pin broken out I didn't worry about soldering on the 2 transistors and resistors for the esptool to be able to put the ESP32 into boot l...

Re: _threads, sockets and interruption with ESP32

ok I am using loboris firmware for fast development because it has telent and FTP builtin to the firmware. I run a Telent repl over putty and use filezilla to edit transfer files. In filezilla you can specify what prograsm you want to open what files. I have specified note++ to open *.py . So I can ...

Re: MicroPython on ESP32 with SPIRAM support

I am using filezilla successfully on windows 10 PC to tranfer/edit files. I tried to use a FTP plugin for note++ and it could read/create directories but wouldn't transfer files, and WinSCP same problem and I even tried command line options for FTP and same again. I did a lot of googling and it seem...

Re: _threads, sockets and interruption with ESP32

In the except you will need to have a line of code that stops the thread. I am using laboris firmware and the code to stop a thread is _thread.stop(th_id) see https://github.com/loboris/MicroPython_ESP32_psRAM_LoBo/wiki/thread#_threadstopth_id I also suggest that in the except you stop anything else...

Re: MicroPython on ESP32 with SPIRAM support

@laboris Note: If the third mode(80Mhz+80Mhz) is enabled, the VSPI port will be occupied by the system. Application code should never touch VSPI hardware in this case. The option to select 80MHz will only be visible if the flash SPI speed is also 80MHz. (ESPTOOLPY_FLASHFREQ_80M is true) VSPI is not ...

Re: MicroPython on ESP32 with SPIRAM support

@cartere My Lolin32 pro also had the problem of sometimes when plugging the usb lead cp210 chip would get very hot and i unplugged the usb lead then reserted and it worked fine without getting hot, this happens a fair bit. Maybe there is a problem with the cp210 chip that is causing the Wrover to fa...

Re: MicroPython on ESP32 with SPIRAM support

I have left to go away on business when I get back home I will lift off the metal cover of the Wrover and see which component is getting hot. Like I said the Lolin32 pro is no longer for sale on the wemos aliexpress shop. I did see this similar board though https://www.aliexpress.com/item/TTGO-T8-V1...
