machine.reset(0 output

On my ESP32 when I do machine.reset() or press the RST button, I get readable output on my terminal. On the ESP8266, I gets unreadable characters. Any way to get readable output? I am using rshell with the default baud rate. Thanks.

Re: Driver for NEMA 17 stepper motor ?

I agree with @jimmo: You don't need the precise positioning that a stepper provides since you are moving the object over distances much larger than the size of the motor. Thanks for updating the diagram. Is this a conveyer belt? How heavy is the belt? Is the belt being supported? You are going to ne...

Re: double precision float on ESP8266

See the ports/esp32 help page (README.md)

Try the following.

make PYTHON=python2

The place to change is mpconfigport.h in the esp32 directory. Change line:

#define MICROPY_FLOAT_IMPL (MICROPY_FLOAT_IMPL_FLOAT)
into
#define MICROPY_FLOAT_IMPL (MICROPY_FLOAT_IMPL_DOUBLE)
Thanks. That worked great.

Re: double precision float on ESP32

How does one enable building the firmware for double precision?

Edit to add: This is for an ESP32

Re: I'm searching a modbus library

Yes ;) I have already programmed modbus servers to control the slave (with minimalmodbus) but never in slave mode (I haven't found library). Today I will be able to decode all the frames and then send the answers in the right format and with the CRC (manualy) but a library help me a lot :oops: than...

Re: I'm searching a modbus library

I just want to clarify what you are asking: You want to setup a Pyboard as a modbus slave on an existing TCP network so that it can be controlled by a master device on same network. I presume you want to be able to use the digital inputs/outputs as well as analog in/out. In the past I have used stan...

Re: LIS3DH accelerometer

Julian, good work. While I don't have this sensor, your changes will be useful in figuring out differences between the two ports.
