Re: pheriperal indexing start from O || 1

At the datasheet level, all of the peripherals are numbered starting from 1. So you have I2C1, I2C2, SPI1, SPI2, UART1, UART2, TIM1, etc. The Led isn't really a datasheet item, but if you're trying to rationalize stuff from the datasheet to python its easier if there isn't a +1/-1 to always deal wit...

Re: Expansion boards - pyshields

I thought I would mention that I've been using a Netduino Plus 2 which has an Arduino shield footprint and uses the same microcontroller as the pyboard.

I haven't added the support for the sdcard yet (its wired up as 1-bit SPI) nor the ethernet, but that will come in due course.

Adding a BOOT0 switch

Since I flash new versions of MicroPython quite frequently, I decided to add a BOOT0 switch. The pyboard is mounted in a SliceCase Boot-Switch-800.jpg The red wire runs to 3.3v and the white wire runs to the pull-down resistor on BOOT0. A dab of hot glue holds the switch in place on the processor. N...

Re: Broken links in the site

Two were broken for me earlier as well, but they seem to be working now as well, so obviously they've been fixed.

Interesting issue with different sdcards

Just got my pyboard. If I plug in the pyboard on its lonesone, then it seems to boot fine. I can get REPL and the USB Mass Storage device shows up. However, if I plug in a 4GB sd card, then I get some weird behaviour. 1 - No USB Mass Storage device shows up 2 - After 30 seconds, my REPL prompt goes ...

Re: waterpump

Ok - so thats a pump controlled by DC current. You'll need a relay (mechanical or solid state) or a MOSFET which can be controlled by a 3.3v signal. You could also use a motor driver (more advanced, but fairly readily available). By using a PWM signal, you can control the speed of DC motors using a ...

Re: Simple IRQ demo on your site: but what am I doing wrong

There appears to be a documentation error. I was able to get this to work: Micro Python build 1f85d62-dirty on 2014-05-01; NetduinoPlus2 with STM32F405RG Type "help()" for more information. >>> def callback1(line): ... print("IRQ called : ", line) ... >>> pin = pyb.Pin.board.SW >>> extint = pyb.ExtI...

Re: waterpump

What size/voltage/current rating is the water pump?

Are we talking aquarium sized water pump here? Or well pump?

Re: unix make error

I think that this is happening due to your toolchain being too old. Most of us developing are using 4.7 or 4.8. I don't see that warning (using gcc 4.7.2) As a temporary workaround you should be able to add -fno-strict-aliasing to the build command to make the warning not occur. In the unix/Makefile...
