Pyboard Lite v1.0 uses less energy. Both Pyboard v1.1 and Lite v1.0 can be underclocked to save energy :

No problema at all : ESP8266/ESP322 doesn't have support for USB mass storage, like Pyboard v1.1/Lite 1.0/D SF2/3/6 have. I suggest to use rshell , mpfshel l and ampy as CLI tools to manage files.
