Re: Support for 512K modules reinstated
Yay! 8-) I was never quite sure whether supporting them was still an official goal, given that the documentation still states “The minimum requirement for flash size is 512k. A board with this amount of flash will not have room for a filesystem, but otherwise is fully functional.”, even though that ...

Re: Any plans for Swiss Python Summit?
Oh, I would have liked to come to that meetup – shame it’s booked up and I’m already signed up for a different one at the same time. Have fun – and maybe see you at the conference!

Any plans for Swiss Python Summit?
Registration for the Swiss Python Summit on February 17th 2017 in Rapperswil recently opened. I’m curious, is anyone here by any chance planning to present something about MicroPython there? I am not (I'm a bit too new to MicroPython for that), but I think it would be very cool to hear/see something...

Re: Official support for the psf-a85 (esp8285) board?
I’m pretty sure I did have WiFi (enough to run the WebREPL at least, in AP mode I believe) when I tried it on the Pesky Products ESP8285 development board. I haven’t tried a PSF-A85 module though.

Re: New chip ESP8285
I got myself two of these cuties and from what I’ve tested so far (not much) they work just fine with MicroPython 1.8.3 (release).
It’s revision 1 of the board, without GPIO 9 & 10 broken out, but according to the author at least one of them works.

Re: Micropython Workshop in Zürich
Oh, how did I miss this! I should have started reading these forums earlier! :) Please be sure to post here again if you do a repeat, I would very much like to participate. In fact I have been thinking about running a similar workshop at FabLab Winterthur, but focusing a bit more on Python and less ...

Re: uSD card support for ESP266
Very cool! I wonder if this would allow me to get a filesystem on 512KB devices. That would make things a lot more convenient. Unfortunately I don’t have time to try it right now.

Re: "Errno 16 resource busy"
Oh, I’m not blaming myself. The fact that I can do something wrong is clearly a bug.

Re: "Errno 16 resource busy"
It’s likely that it’s not your board that’s stuck but your Mac. I have never needed any special rights to access serial ports, and if it has worked before, that’s probably not the issue. I have however several times managed to get my USB-serial drivers stuck by careless experimenting (drawing too mu...
