Re: Asyncio gets stuck periodically

It very much seems to be vendor code that is blocking the execution of python code as all measuring methods turned up nothing. They actually made it even worse, stating that some socket operations took 70 minutes which was wrong as I got mqtt publications during that time.. However, uasyncio did not...

Re: MicroPython - ESP32 - Is is possible to update files?

1) yes, you can download the prebuilt firmware on his repository and flash it.
1b) I have not heard of telnet outside of loboris fork

Re: MicroPython - ESP32 - Is is possible to update files?

You could use the loboris fork for esp32 which has a ftp-server built-in which just has to be enabled. Then you can easily modify that file.

A different approach would be to get the value you have in the file by mqtt subscription.

Re: Smarthome firmware pysmartnode

You are right about that, it is at most as resilient as your library and the vendor code allows it to be. I did not test if the changes in the vendor-code for the esp32 improved the resilience. The changes I made are for loboris fork only and work very well so far but I did not do all resilience che...

Re: Smarthome firmware pysmartnode

That's ok :D It is listed under dependencies but it's shipped within the repository. (I used my "experimental" fork though, which is of course the same for esp8266 and esp32, just has some small modifications for esp32_LoBo). The only thing that bothers me is that I'm having a hard time reducing the...

Re: Smarthome firmware pysmartnode

Well, considering that I'm using your mqtt_as module, I'm quite confident that it is resilient.

It's a framework built on top of your mqtt_as module that simplifies communication, configuration and component addition.

Re: Smarthome firmware pysmartnode

Over one week without even a comment.. Guess the micropython world has not much need for something like this.. or is there some simple framework/firmware in micropython that I don't know of, which everyone uses? Or do you all write your own framework?

Re: Stuck in bootloop sometimes

smartphone chargers. It happens on all my esp8266 occasionally and they all have different power supplies.
The one I access using putty is connected to the usb port of the PC, of course.

Stuck in bootloop sometimes

Sometimes my esp8266 get stuck in a bootloop if it gets reset by "machine.reset()" or by pressing the reset button or sometimes if I connect to it using putty. It then starts my program and connects to wifi and then reboots. It runs only a few hundred ms before it reboots. Then I have to disconnect ...
