Re: Usage of this forum

I agree and sit in the same boat usually. Just checking if we could provide an RSS feed.
Alternatively there should be the possibility to subscribe to certain topics, getting an notification email if new posts arrive.

Re: What is basic hardware requirements for micropython

Hi pfalcon, target 4Kb as the minimum RAM size (which amounts to ~2Kb heap) and 64Kb ROM are you sure about that figures? It would be much less compared to statements Damien gave on the kickstarter page. Anyhow, I think a good practical orientation would be to look at the pyboard. Sure one might get...

Re: uCee (MicroCrawler) Robot with a custom MicroPython Boar

Hi Jon, this looks great. Did you print the tracks too? What was the reason for the forked pyboard? Just to get fixed connectors instead of the pin-headers? I removed the second (double post) sorry for the inconvenience. The first two post of a new user needs approval by the moderators to avoid spam...

Re: Usage of this forum

Right, the (active) community is still rather small and we should concentrate activities at a single point. As soon as the boards are out and in usage, the forum activity should increase a lot. Thus, the next weeks are a good test-run and we can establish ways and routines to be prepared for a large...

Re: What is basic hardware requirements for micropython

It also runs already on the Discovery board. It is indeed intended to port micropython to many other boards. Damien tries to provide a porting guideline as soon as time permits. From there it should be an interesting task to port it to the uC of choice. As I understood, the uC would require a minimu...

UPDATED: New users post approval

Hi all. Recently we are quite a bit under attack by spammers. That might has something to do with the ongoing two kickstarter campaigns. Nevertheless, micropython becomes more and more public and is on the transition from a niche hobby project towards a much larger industrial / academic recognized s...

Spambot counterattack

Hi, we just started to work recently on the forum. Unfortunately, we got a lot of spambots already before we managed to improve the security settings. It is almost impossible to identify those spambots and some of them are sleepers getting activated years later. Thus, we want you to post something t...

Re: What is basic hardware requirements for micropython

As far as I understood, the most current limitation is the memory size (beside of practical usability).
Thus, I guess smaller uCs simply do not have enough memory to start micropython.

Re: Multitasking?

Hi,
not 100% sure. However, I would say the servos receive a PWM signal and those can be generated in parallel.
Thus, you could drive servos simultaneous.
There is no RTOS.

Re: Usage of this forum

Hi, I just started to work a bit on the forum,
I guess it is ready to be used. However, we got a lot of spambots and it is hard to identify those.
But please start to use the forum
