Re: Having issues with trying to catch "OneWireError" exception

You might need to catch "onewire.OneWireError"

Re: Is there an updated guide about how to use esp-open-sdk?

Ubuntu 20.04 installs:
Note, selecting 'libexpat1-dev' instead of 'libexpat-dev'
libexpat1-dev is already the newest version (2.2.9-1build1)

So where do you pull 2.1 from?

Re: Micropython on Linux, problen with *.mpy

or build micropython-dev for the unix port which includes uasyncio. (And complain on github so uasyncio gets finally merged in the non-dev unix port...)

See how I'm doing that in my project using __import__(): https://github.com/kevinkk525/pysmartno ... nts.py#L66

2. Can Home Assistant be used for that purpose?
Absolutely. You can make all kinds of automations in HomeAssistant. and esphome is very easy on the microcontroller side.

Re: PMS5003 air quality sensor library

We solved this on github: https://github.com/kevinkk525/pms5003_m ... n/issues/4
Apparently the adafruit sensor he bought didn't respond well to the passive mode but works fine in active mode. Since I bought mine from Aliexpress, I can't comment/test any further.

Re: Is there an existing app for micropython?

Yes, micropython is "just python" for microcontroller. So for programming itself it doesn't make much of a difference.
But you can read more about IDEs here viewtopic.php?f=18&t=4567&p=56090&hilit ... hon#p56090

Re: Is there an existing app for micropython?

Wouldn't any other python app be sufficient then? Just need a plugin like with pycharm to get some code-completion for micropython modules.

Re: Receiving uart data and polling sensor with uasyncio

If you're using the uart, make sure to modify the uart driver like this PR: https://github.com/micropython/micropython/pull/7022
Otherwise it's extremely buggy and unusable. Hope it'll be in the daily build soon.
