Re: onewire with uart

The ouput driver for a Pin supports open drain mode, which is independent form the seleted alternate function. by accessing the GPIO control registers directly, this could be changed after initilization of the UART. Open drain mode can be selected in the Pin class. I tried: from machine import uart,...

Re: Limit to file.write() ?

I had an OS Error 5 when reading more that 511 bytes at once after seek or read to a position which is not a multiple of 4. Transferring 511 bytes and less works. According to your description, that could be the case here too (about 900 fails, chunks of 100 pass). See https://github.com/micropython/...

Re: Send input from one pin to the output of another pin.

Assuming that you talk about an (analog) video signal of a few MHz bandwith: PyBoard cannot handle this. You need a special video switching circuit for that purpose, like a LT6555 chip, which then could be controlled by PyBoard.

Re: build micropython for STM32F7DISC on windows

On long run, the best would be to install a Linux VM. Both Virtualbox and VMWare work pretty well and are free of charge for private use. Even if you get the build working for now, it may change again, and then you're constantly wasting energy at the build environment instead of dealing with MicroPy...

Re: Power consumption of PyBoard in stop mode

Another option aside from using the internal pull-ups is to declare all unused pins as outputs which might reduce sensitivity still further. That was my other attempt, but then you have to be careful too what is connected to the ports. This is also true for using input mode with pull-ups. But in ou...

Interface board for an 4.3" TFT

Hello all, I sketched an interface board to connect PyBoard to an 4.3" TFT with SSD1963 controller and touch screen. The TFT is like this one: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/L155-Fre ... 791c67297c The prototype of the interface board works fine, and now I'm going to order more of these boards. Anyo...

Re: Power consumption of PyBoard in stop mode

A few observations: - 350 µA is taken by the SD card. If I use a lower capacity card, it's standby current is lower. - without SD card, the current in standby mode goes down to 30µA. I guess that's because in standby mode the ports are floating. No option for me, because I need the card. - in stop m...

Re: Checking feasibility of a Project. Expert Opinion Needed.

Written above:
If the rooms are big then we might need to connect switches from 5 to 30 feet.
So if there is more than 1 switch per PyBoard, he'll have long wires.
