Re: [TM4C123] SPI instances, machine_hard_spi and root pointers

Thanks for your response! ok, I'll just focus on the machine spi then and without prebuilt spi objects, I think I'll go for the dynamic route and create them on the heap and use a root pointer. The root pointer itself is for GC i suppose, are there other places I need to register them to, or is the ...

[TM4C123] SPI instances, machine_hard_spi and root pointers

Hey, in the spi implementation for the pyboard, the program always references already existing instances, that are defined somewhere in the STM HAL I guess. I have no such predefined spi instances, should I create some or should I rather create them when necessary as in the UART? Because I'm really ...

Re: [Tiva TM4C123] UART write succeeds but throws OSError 116

Ah, I see.
This is really strange, because my IDE says MP_ETIMEDOUT is defined as 110.
So I got confused where 116 is coming from.

Thank you!

[Tiva TM4C123] UART write succeeds but throws OSError 116

Hey, can someone tell me, where the errno 116 can be issued in the call stack for UART? I can't find the line. I didn't find this error code in the errno table, but I read in another post, that this is a timeout error. I'm having trouble getting it to work, it successfully sends the data but shows >...

Re: how to use micro python in TM4C123 tiva launchpad board

Hey, there is no official port for the tiva launchpad yet.

If you can wait a little longer, there is currently one being developed, but it's not quite there yet.

Re: [TM4C123] gc info disabled in gccollect.c but still displaying in repl?

Yes, I saw that. It happens, because the repl_display_debugging_info is set to 1 in the pyexec.c But I don't know where it gets set. It is initialized as 0 and it does not appear anywhere in my code again (except in function where this option can be set via python). And I don't have a boot.py or mai...

Re: Problem compiling micropython on ubuntu

I fixed it with another toolchain version:

Code: Select all

sudo apt remove gcc-arm-none-eabi binutils-arm-none-eabi

Code: Select all

sudo apt install gcc-arm-embedded

Problem compiling micropython on ubuntu

Hey, I get the error arm-none-eabi-ld: error: uPY_TM4C123.axf uses VFP register arguments, /usr/lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/6.3.1/../../../arm-none-eabi/lib/libm.a(lib_a-s_copysign.o) does not when trying to compile micropython on my machine. I run kubuntu latest version. I read that this happens, because...

[TM4C123] how to disable debugging info in REPL
