Re: Driver for a SSD1963 TFT controller

Hello everyone. For everyone who is interested, I have updated the driver for SSD1963 displays, to be found here: https://github.com/robert-hh/SSD1963-TFT-Library-for-PyBoard The biggest change is in the aspects of text printing and font handling, which was possible due to the kind help of and coope...

Re: PyBoard: is there a way to expand physical ram on Pyboard

@MCHobby: In addition to what pythoncoder mentioned. I did not test that yet for the SSD1963 controller. But it might be possible to use the part of the frame buffer, which is not needed for the actually displayed data, for other data. Other TFT controllers like the MD070 have several pages of frame...

Re: HTML presentation about MicroPython hosted on WiPy

That sound great. I can start it on Wipy, but cannot connect to it. Any hint what's missing?
Besides this test code, Wipy is in the base configuration.

Hi Dave, thanks for the swift reply. That change did change the error message. robert@DELL-HH:~/Downloads/MicroPython/usb-ser-mon$ ./usb-ser-mon.py -n Micro USB Serial device with vendor 'MicroPython' serial '347A35663333' connected @/dev/ttyACM0 Use Control-X to exit. Re: Need help debugging with REPL

Hello Dave, usb-ser-mon seems to me a useful tool. I tried it and ran into a bug. Here is the screen content: robert@DELL-HH:~/Downloads/MicroPython/usb-ser-mon$ ./usb-ser-mon.py -n Micro USB Serial device with vendor 'MicroPython' serial '347A35663333' connected @/dev/ttyACM0 Use Control-X to exit....

Re: onewire with uart

The ouput driver for a Pin supports open drain mode, which is independent form the seleted alternate function. by accessing the GPIO control registers directly, this could be changed after initilization of the UART. Open drain mode can be selected in the Pin class. I tried: from machine import uart,...

Re: Limit to file.write() ?

I had an OS Error 5 when reading more that 511 bytes at once after seek or read to a position which is not a multiple of 4. Transferring 511 bytes and less works. According to your description, that could be the case here too (about 900 fails, chunks of 100 pass). See https://github.com/micropython/...

Re: Send input from one pin to the output of another pin.

Assuming that you talk about an (analog) video signal of a few MHz bandwith: PyBoard cannot handle this. You need a special video switching circuit for that purpose, like a LT6555 chip, which then could be controlled by PyBoard.

Re: build micropython for STM32F7DISC on windows

On long run, the best would be to install a Linux VM. Both Virtualbox and VMWare work pretty well and are free of charge for private use. Even if you get the build working for now, it may change again, and then you're constantly wasting energy at the build environment instead of dealing with MicroPy...
