Re: using Rshell with windows
Just a quick update to this thread. Particularly to help those who thought running a quick workshop would be a great way to introduce Micropython to others... Linux users installed and interacted well with Rshell Windows users managed to use MPFshell with the usual driver updates required I could no...

Re: LOLIND32
perhaps try the module documentation for the ESP8266, as there isn't really very much for the ESP32 right now.
There is close similarity between many of the ESP8266 and ESP32 micropython port modules.

using Rshell with windows
I am running a short Micropython intro workshop. The workshop gets attendees to use Rshell to interact with a wemos D1 mini (esp8266 port). There is a strong likelihood that people will show up at my next workshop with MS Windows installed on laptops so I thought I had better check Rshell works ok w...

Re: PMS5003 air quality sensor library
Thanks @kevinkk525, I will give your library a try.
Also available for others to consider, not using uasyncio, is Rob Blaggar's library
A great blog on developing and optimizing a PMS5003 set up (on Pycom WiPy board) is by Dominik along with his library.

Promoting Micropython with workshops and courses
answering @cefn question related to teaching Micropython feels like a new topic! Feel free to post comments against my approach, ask questions or just post what you have done. Apologies for the delay in responding @cefn, I have just started a series of workshops to introduce Micropython. This comes ...

Re: Rshell buffer size
Many thanks @pythoncoder @dylands, really clearly explained!
Sorry I forgot to mention the devboards were ESP8266.

Rshell buffer size
I just taught a short practical micropython course this evening; we used Rshell to transfer files and enter the REPL. I love Rshell, it allows a really simple interface to boards running micropython. At the course somebody asked why are we defining the buffer size on starting and I wasn't sure. rshe...

Re: PyConAu Talk - any suggestions?
Great forum post. I was dismayed that PyCon at Portland appeared to have nothing covering Micropython this year... Well, there was a development board running it in the swag bag, a birds-of-feather meeting, and quite some coding done during the sprints. I wouldn't call that "nothing". Oh dear! Apol...

Re: PyConAu Talk - any suggestions?
Great forum post. I was dismayed that PyCon at Portland appeared to have nothing covering Micropython this year... From my (limited) interface with the Python community here in Perth, Australia I have been really surprised how low the awareness level of Micropython is. So I think there is still a pl...
