How to read frequency from Pycom LoPy 4

Hi, I need to read the impulse frequency in Hz from a sensor joined to my LoPy4, mounted on an expansion board, but I don't really know where to start. I tried with RMT library, but that's not working.
Is there anyone that knows how to do this?
