ARM M4 based, and ZephyrOS seems to be already ported, so it'd be possible to run the Zephyr based version of MicroPython.
The interesting thing is, that this chip has both 2.4/5GHz Wifi and Bluetooth5 on board.
What do you think?
Ivy5661: Potential new target for MicroPython?
Re: Ivy5661: Potential new target for MicroPython?
Looks like super-interesting hardware! Haven't seen the combination of Cortex M4 (@416MHz too, pretty snappy!), 802.11ac ("WiFi 5") and Bluetooth 5.
There's some further information on the 96boards site. Interesting snippets: It's actually dual-core with the second (another M4 at 256MHz) dedicated to radio comms. 963KB internal RAM, about 400KB available for user applications. Up to 32MB external RAM possible.
But unfortunately, until any real documentation appears about how to interface with the various submodules, it's going to be very difficult to create a useful port...
