General guide for porting/installing on standalone ARM proc?

Post by kwiley » Fri Dec 18, 2020 11:27 pm

Is there any sort of guide or documentation to assist with installing MicroPython on a stand alone ARM processor? I'm not sure where or how to start. I realize it's a fairly broad and general question. I'm not asking for specifics here, rather a pointer to any preexisting writing on the subject, if any. I'm aware of the documentation at http://docs.micropython.org/ but I don't see a section there to help jump start one's efforts on a new platform. I admit I might have overlooked it if it is indeed there.

Thanks.

If there is a port for a similar processor, then I would start there. Otherwise, I'd start with the minimal port and adapt that. It was designed to run a REPL over a serial port.
