Windows 8.1 driver installation failure

I am using a Windows 8.1 laptop 64 bit. I tired to follow the procedure on the Wiki to install drivers for Win 8.1.

But I was unsuccessful. Can someone tell me whats wrong?

Sounds like you selected a folder.
Did you click the "Have disk" button?

Once you did, navigate to the "pybcdc.inf" file and select that and not the folder it is located in.

Yes. I did select the file "pybcdc.inf" but still got the error message. I will retry it and let you know.

I tried this multiple time but still having the same issue.

I have another PC which is a Windows 7 PC and I was able to install drivers successfully. But for some reason its failing on Windows 8.1

You could try replacing all occurrences of the 'NTamd64' string in the inf file with 'NTamd64.6.3' so it targets windows 8.1 specifically.

While that is a hack, it might actually work. But the inf file should already take care of that, I don't have a copy of it though.
