Having issues with trying to catch "OneWireError" exception

All ESP8266 boards running MicroPython.
Official boards are the Adafruit Huzzah and Feather boards.
Target audience: MicroPython users with an ESP8266 board.

ds.scan() is unlikely to throw an exception.

In my application I catch oneWire errors on conversion and any type of error on reading:
