I just wanted to point this out for people who, like me, are relatively new to embedded. Adafruit's Tony DiCola has done what I consider to be a series of very informative videos on MicroPython use with Adafruit's ESP8266 "Huzzah" offerings. He usually posts on Mondays and Fridays, so I expect another video later today. It should cover topics of interest to more advanced users.
DiCola's "Ampy" serial utility for transferring and managing MicroPython files is extremely easy to use.
