Would be great to get everyones' feedback, although the resources are focused for high-school computer science teachers, so there's a deliberate lack of emphasis on technical/floss issues such as Micropython or Circuitpython vs. Python3. As the resources develop we are bound to touch on these issues of course, but in focused blog posts e.g. commentary on choosing between Micropython, CircuitPython, CPython.
The idea is to make it seem as familiar and consistent with the desktop Python shell programming experience without anything which will spook educators for no reason. Use of Micropython remains advertised on first login. The emphasis is providing a turnkey configured device and being able to unlock physical computing capabilities within meaningful projects for which resources have already been prepared (somewhat like the breadboard arduino resources we prepared at http://shrimping.it). Perhaps you have ideas for the next projects we should consider - anything with a cheap BOM and some fun to be had in the classroom?
Not sure if we should provide howtos for flashing Circuitpython (which runs on the board and has some educational relevance and recognition) but currently Micropython's boot.py and main.py split is very welcome for teaching and learning scenarios we've explored. Would be a shame to lose that, so we would have to spin our own flavour of Circuitpython anyway if we were to adopt it. An alternative approach to get the benefit of Circuitpython semantics and drivers is https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_Micropython_Blinka which is close to my heart of course.
