My micro bit worked OK for a few days. Now it only runs the program when plugged into the computer. I've tried checking batteries and they seem OK. The chips do seem to be getting rather hot, but the program runs when i copy the hex across, but only when plugged into the usb port.
Any ideas would be great.

I may be either the fuse, in which case it will be back to normal after it cools down, or some fried part in the power circuit, in which case it will stay like that. Of course there is always the possibility of having the batteries reversed and so on, but I assume you have checked that already.
