Followed by the error:“Detecting chip type... ESP32
Chip is ESP32-D0WDQ6 (revision 1)
Features: WiFi, BT, Dual Core, 240MHz, VRef calibration in efuse, Coding Scheme None
Crystal is 40MHz”
The flash chip is a BY25Q32BSSIG (32MBIT SPI NOR FLASH SOP8 208mil) and it is easily accessible because this board doesn’t have a shield.“WARNING: Failed to communicate with the flash chip, read/write operations will fail. Try checking the chip connections or removing any other hardware connected to IOs”
Do you guys think replacing this chip will fix it?
I couldn’t find an exact replacement but I found a 64MBIT version with the same pinout and package. Can I just swap in the bigger one?
