..... I am toying with switching from Pi OS to Manjaro ,
but cannot find a way to MicroPython ( Pico ) .... ???
MicroPython with Raspberry Pi Manjaro ....
Re: MicroPython with Raspberry Pi Manjaro ....
You should be able to install/use Thonny, no?
(If this is to do with your monitor problems reported on the Raspberry Pi boards, Manjaro likely won't have better support)

Re: MicroPython with Raspberry Pi Manjaro ....
It ' s derivative of that problem ..... BUT :
The display tool on Manjaro works fine ( like Buster )
The reason I again tried ( and am trying ) Bulls Eye is
because of better web response ( Chromium version ? )
There is no simple Manjaro install for Thonny ( that I see )
FireFox works good ( Manjaro )
Even with a script , autostart does not work ...
I can leave it on the desktop , and only need a couple
of clicks , so not too bad .
Re: MicroPython with Raspberry Pi Manjaro ....
You can also use any editor you like and mpremote or rshell to access the MicroPython device.

@hitsware, I have been using Pi OS 11 since the early days of Pi device release (beta board). So I have seen the entire gambit of video display issues with Pi devices. This is a bit off topic, but can you outline what the issue(s) you having? Why the switch to Manjaro? Been a long time user of Debian on PC hardware as well, video support under Linux is always interesting, or so my experience.
Re: MicroPython with Raspberry Pi Manjaro ....
I have 3 identical monitors .
With BullsEye the ' display adjust ' tool from ' preferences ' will not change the resolution .
With Buster it works fine . Manjaro too & Twister & et. al.
I noticed a possible lack of response with Chromium , with Buster ( compared to BullsEye )
I have tried almost every distro for RPi , and had liked Manjaro , so decided to try it .
I know the monitor problem is explicit to my monitors .
( When the Pi 4 first came out , they would not work at all for a year ) ......

Re: MicroPython with Raspberry Pi Manjaro ....
Yeah, Pi4 was interesting, I have a IP based KVM, that uses dongles, left over server site hardware, so I typically hookup stuff via the Video, Keyboard, dongles. The Pi devices before 4, worked fine as long as the USB or PS/2 dongles did not pull too much current from the USB ports. But the Pi 4 which have a higher USB current power range, would not work at all initially, was kinda weird. It turned out to be a combination fo the USB current loading and HDMI signal strength. Now I just use USB-UART interfaces on the all the Pi devices with a few exceptions, since most of mine are console, not desktop configured.

For the time being I am giving up on the R Pi 4 ....
I will set up a 3 B + to do my technical experiments
and try one of these :
