LCD backlight weak, have I done something wrong?

Post by rankor » Thu Dec 04, 2014 4:40 pm

I got the LCD working in so far as I can write text to it and I can turn light on and off.

However the light/backlight is not very strong, ot hardly makes a difference, the screen itself does not light up so I am thinking there is something wrong, that it is not soldered well enough or there is not enough power.

Should the screen itself lit up or just what is behind it?

What was the solution?

Somebody else might have the same problem some day, which is part of the reason for keeping these posts
