Micro-Python ported to Lego

Childhood me would have done anything to have that EV3 brick running something like MicroPython! Heck, adult me seriously wants one..! ;)

So cool.

I wonder if they'll release the source? They appear to have decent peripheral support too...

I do believe it set to be open source.

I have 1 of the contributors asking me some questions now in a private message. I think they are currently using the unix port rather then a stand alone bare metal port

Ah, that makes sense since the EV3 brick runs Linux. Do hope they release the source!

There is also a new platform coming out from Lego called spike which will be able to run a bare metal port of MP, I believ they have set August as the release date for the bare metal MP on Spike

It's an ideal application for MicroPython. Excited to hear more about it; please keep us posted!
