Adding or using modules with micropython

Ok, I must be a dummy. I see the driver I need on github (ssd1306.py) but don't know what to do with it. Searched the documentation and saw about making your own, etc, but I simply want to know where to put it where Thonny or uPyCraft can find it. I'm sure it's a simple answer, but I can't seem to find it.
