Will I be able to control an ESP32 with dash DAQ?

Hi,
I looking to get into microcontrollers for some projects I have. Since I already know some python I'm considering buying an ESP32 and start learning micropython instead of starting with an arduino. Would you advise against that?
My goal is to ultimately being able to control it and show data with python dash. Would that be possible?
With arduino I guess I would do it with pyfirmata or pyserial.
