Hi all,

Does anybody know where the '1A fast/0.22Ohm fuse' used to protect VUSB could be purchased?

Also, how difficult/reckless would it be to replace the original with a new one?

You may replace the fuse with an SMD resistor < 0.1 Ohm. Of course there is no more protection but the board works fine.
If I remember correctly, recent PYBD boards don't have a fuse installed.
Any well designed USB host port should have built in over current protection. As it tuned out that many USB host ports provide more current than standard 900 mA (for USB3), it doesn't make much sense to put in a 2A fuse.

Thanks. Out of curiosity, is there a compelling reason not to create a solder bridge over the top of the blown fuse, as an alternative to buying a SMD resistor?

I would assume, just an engineers reluctance to replace a fuse with a wire. Beside that, a solder blob would most likely meet the requirement of < 0.1 Ohm resistance.
