I'm trying to solder a 0.05" pin header to the Pyboard D board then plug it into a socket but it is clashing with the SD card holder.
Has anyone else come across this problem ?

Yes, kind of. I soldered a female header to the other side instead. The the connectors for the stacking headers are still accessible. The drawback: the switches on the top are harder to push.

Yeah, I just used regular jumper wires instead to connect it to a breadboard.
Like a centipede when finished :)

I made a small interposer board for the breadboard. I wanted to have all the X and Y pins available. The DIP28, which I use to, does not have the X7..X12 pins exposed. The only drawback is, that this board makes access to the buttons a little bit difficult. At least I could put the reset switch on that board too. Soldering pads for a diode at Vin are also on the board. The Kicad files are here: https://github.com/robert-hh/PYBD-Adapter
With that interposer stuck to the top, the PYBD looks like a porcupine.
