wbus-DIP28 button use?

Post by IHOXOHI » Thu Aug 13, 2020 10:15 am

Hi,

I didn't find in documentaion how use the button on the DIP28...
There is "booto" inscription...It looks that it's a boot button. So, is it just for reset withoot use of boot.py file?
Nothing happen when I push it...

Could it be possible to change function of this button for add an other user button?

Thanks.

Have you tried to keep the bootO pressed while pressing and releasing the Pyboard RST button? I guess it will make the pyboard to enter DFU mode.

WBUS-DIP 28 Boot 0 switch is on pin Y13 from what I worked out on the schematics, but I gave up trying to use it because the button isn't the easiest to get at once fitted with a Pyb D and especially if connected / powered through the USB FS port on the DIP28, when the boards are in the enclosure.

To get to DFU mode I use the two buttons on the Pyb D itself which are more accessible in the configuration I use.

A quick test plugging in the USB with the button pressed resulted in my being unable to connect with rshell. The Pyboard LED never lit so gave no indication of its actual state.

This button allows to put the STM32 processor into boot mode. Keep in mind that ST boot loader supports only the FS port!
