Any recommendations on my project？

Hey all - I have a room with sensitive electronics that needs constant temperature monitoring. Starting from zero knowledge and gizmos but I plan to get started, use this project(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUCgYXF01Do)and build on it to add things like sending Alerts to my phone or email - or even a RoboCall, triggering solenoids etc.. Step by Step we'll go. If you have any recommendations on getting started, I'm open to any advice! Many thanks -
